Who are they?
Ampelio is an uncompromising, courageous, energetic and masculine man, who likes to think that he is pretty tough. But despite a certain coarseness and a triumphant air he is an extremely sensitive individual (although he tends to keep this under control), and a very charming one at that (a quality that he discreetly cultivates). Deep down he is a shy and anxious soul who doubts in his capacities; shortcomings for which he compensates beautifully by a very high level of activity and an iron will. He moves through life with a natural ease, adapts rapidly to new situations, can be opportunistic and has plenty of know how. He is nevertheless rather strict and loathes flattery, deceit, pretentiousness and most of all, injustice... He is capable of violent anger in the face of iniquity and this can be quite frightening to witness! A materialistic man, he has a good head for business and takes a very hands-on approach. Theory only interests him if it can be put into practice. Rapid, impatient and very efficient, he needs plenty of physical exercise to avoid becoming aggressive or quarrelsome. As a child, Ampelio is rather fragile and sensitive. His overwhelmingly emotional nature is much easier to externalize with anger than with tenderness. Others tend to assume that he is as resilient as he seems, but one should never judge a book by its cover... Furthermore, he is mobile and dissipated, and at school he is likely to prefer the concrete subjects such as physics and chemistry - with a particular penchant for sport at which he tends to excel. He enjoys tinkering, building and repairing things, however he loves nothing more than a bit of healthy competition.
What do they like?
Ampelio enjoys the company of others, has a profound sense of friendship and can be pretty persuasive when he wants to be. He values his freedom above all and enjoys games and tasting the pleasures that this world has to offer. He is a man of conquest who doesnt count his troubles or his efforts... But with such impatience! He is ardent and passionate when it comes to his feelings and needs to be able to communicate with his partner on a profound level. He is a very considerate man, and as far as he is concerned, trust, respect, sincerity and freedom are essential values in a relationship. He wont forgive a broken promise easily and would always rather hear an unpleasant truth than a convenient falsehood.
What do they do?
Born to win in the game of life - notably on a material level, Ampelio is likely to be attracted to occupations involving action or travel (sport, sales representation, driving...), a career as a technician, business: management, finance, banking, insurance, trading..., a job where expression is important (journalist, lecturer...), sales and marketing or teaching, however these are areas where his impatience could prove to be a handicap...
