Who are they?
A passionate man who emanates strength and authority, Austen is well-suited to power, and was born to lead, command and orchestrate. More down to earth and practical than truly intellectual, he is an active, dynamic and resourceful individual who enjoys fighting for the principles and causes he believes in. He is courageous with plenty of energy and tends to be quite satisfied with himself, which can be translated as brusqueness, impatience and irritability at times. He has a penchant for physical exercise, which provides an excellent outlet for all his excess energy. Austen has a great need for autonomy and has difficulty bending to somebody elses authority. He is allergic to all forms of hierarchy, especially since he is quite contrary and argumentative by nature. As far as he is concerned, ones personal value is not based on age, nor is merit measurable in seniority, but is instead demonstrated by ones achievements and competence. His frank and direct attitude is likely to attract a few enemies and a fair bit of conflict, which is what he consciously or unconsciously seeks, to a certain degree. The material realm is important in his eyes, and he never loses sight of the notions of yield and return. He could make an excellent business man or a very good manager, since he has an instinct for a profitable venture. As a child, Austen is neither docile, complaisant nor patient. He is rebellious and can be touchy and quite temperamental - even extremely bad-tempered at times, especially when he feels out of his depth. But deep down, Austen is actually a tender-hearted, sensitive and very emotional soul with a rather passionate nature; an excitable little boy who needs plenty of physical exercise in order to let off some of that steam.
What do they like?
Whilst Austen is attracted by action and conquest, he equally feels the need to retreat and relax from time to time. This could be expressed as a love of travel, in the classic sense of the word, as well also journeys of the mind: poetry, painting, music, metaphysics, spirituality and the irrational. His soul is enamoured with magic and marvel, and Austen is fascinated by science fiction and anything weird or wonderful. If life is too rough with this sensitive man he is likely to attempt to run away, literally or figuratively... When it comes to love, Austen is a true romantic - idealistic with great expectations, intolerant and brusque. His passionate nature can twist itself around to become jealousy and possessiveness.
What do they do?
He has many possible choices: occupations concerned with business (banking, management, accounting...), in connection with metallurgy, mechanics... or requiring manual dexterity (cobbler, tapestry maker, butcher, stone-cutter, surgeon, sculptor...), in connection with a certain power (police, army, fire-brigade, politics, justice or law), or anything to do with medicine, even complementary medicine and alternative therapies (energy healer, dowser), or the irrational.
