In the near future, when humanity has developed to the point where robots have taken up 95% of the available jobs, the interplanetary federation has decided to make comprehensive changes to the world. Poverty has long ceased to be a relevant problem, but inequality among the wealthy has led to the downfall of the existing currency, resulting in the exchange of energy.
